Hi guys.

Well, I thought it would be nice to tell you what has been going on musicwise.

Since I recently finished Fourteen Years per Second, my original plan was to work full-time on the DoM soundtrack. However, I began working on a few "side songs", which were just supposed to be songs that would address the problems I had with Fourteen Years. However, this became much more important to me than DoM.

I have talked with Lemoncreme and he said it would be fine if I postponed work on the DoM soundtrack. Lately I have had very little inspiration for DoM, and the songs I've made for it haven't sounded very good. It just feels like it's holding me back, and if I were to make a video game soundtrack I think it would be wise if I were to expand my knowledge, skill, and style beforehand.

It is for these reasons that I will be temporarily abandoning DoM. Do not worry, though - I do have a project planned and in development. I imagine the release will be sometime between August (if I'm lucky) and November (if it takes me a while). This is a very rough estimate though, and it may change as I have started work on it only recently.

This new album will address a few concerns I had with Fourteen Years per Second. First, I want to try to break up the repetetivity; perhaps change melodies, sounds and styles mid-song. I also want to have some key variation, as Fourteen Years was written in all c-minor, and it should also help break up some of the repetetivity. And finally, I want the songs in my new album to have more structure. My previous songs have been very unstructured, and it should make my music sound better overall.

I hope you understand my reasons for leaving the DoM soundtrack behind. I thought it needed a bit of explanation, along with the fact that I wanted to fill you in on what is going on right now. Also, summer is coming up, which means I'll have more time to work on my music!

Ok, I'm back. Update time!

So first, I'd like to say that you should really follow me on twitter. I know I've said this before, but it's a ton easier to manage and I can keep it updated quickly and conveniently. It's also where I try to update my music progress, and I usually post my songs first there. So, it would be wise to follow me if you haven't. But if you prefer these forums, I'm not forcing you or anything.

So I've been pretty inactive from the forums for a while. School ending, summer starting, friends, etc. You know the deal. Sorry for the absences, but I can't promise to be active. Although I try. I'm also just chilling while waiting for Junk Jack X to come out. After it does, I'll probably ask Jack if I he can change my name to vo1dwalk3r, to fit all my other accounts. I hope you don't mind.

So, on to music! In my last post, I said that I was working on a new album and was going to release it sometime in late summer/early fall. Well, that's only partly true anymore. I've decided that it's not worth it to hold off on showing you guys my works, so as I finish them I'm going to upload them to my youtube account and present them to you guys. I will upload them as an album to my Bandcamp once I'm done, so you'll be able to download them. So far, I've finished three songs and uploaded them to youtube, so enjoy:

Music progress for Lemoncreme's new game Neuro Versus Infinity is coming along nicely, and while I'm working on that I plan to be working on a short ambient-style album that I'll be uploading to Youtube as I make it.

Also, lately I've been really into sound design (synthesis, sample manipulation) so yeah. I'll upload samples of the music I make to an alternate Soundcloud account where you can listen to them.
