I'm not sure to be honest. Yeah, I just sent him all my contact info and experience etc and asked if there was going to be a beta phase and that I'd be willing to help out.

I just noticed this post here. I'm the developer of Zombox.

I was originally planning for a May release, but I'm a little behind schedule, so I'm now working with a "as soon as possible" deadline, which will be in the coming months.

The beta isn't open yet, but when it is I'll be doing it with TestFlight, and will post on my site/twitter announcing the sign up.

You have to email the developer and I think you need a lot of experiance to be put on the waiting list immeadiatly just wait and watch the TA forums thats what I'm going to do. He sent me a reply saying that he is not sure when beta will come but I should just wait.

Wow this looks like such an awesome game! Was my first response to seeing the website and such and I'm sticking to that first opinion
