It doesn't have to be a game. You can't make a game if the name is copyrighted to something else, that's the way American copyright laws work.

You think someone hasn't copyrighted the name Run for something before the app? I think it's fine as long as they have nothing in common.

Yeah. I was also looking into that. They have to be extremely far apart. Also, they may have had to pay license fees to the company that owns that. Run also may too generic to license. Many things used to be copyrighted, but when names become synonymous with things, they can lose the license. That's why coke makes sure all of it's purveyors distinctly say they have coke when someone asks for pepsi or vice versa. That's so they can keep the license

Kay. Well like I said, not 100% sure about the name just yet. That's why my team and I are throwing things out to see what looks good.

By "your team" do you mean us or did you get a real team?

Edit* copyright rules don't exactly cover names, you can have 2 songs with the same name, sung by different people and have the lyrics different. It doesn't mean they copied. Also, copyright rules are the same as in America for most places. I know that the rules extend to Australia, New Zealand, and a few others.
