I broke my Minecraft

Get the new launcher you can select what version you want to play

Put mods in your Minecraft Sammich. It should work.

I use magic launcher

Go to your .minecraft folder
Find the folder named saves, and screenshots and drag them to your desktop
Delete your .minecraft folder
Login with your username on the magic launcher
When it's done downloading close minecraft
Go to your .minecraft folder and drag the two folders, saves and screenshots back into it.
That will work and then you can select what jar you want in the launcher by selecting edit profile

Minecraft is stupid and says my username and password are always incorrect...to the point where I forgot them

Log into minecraft.net on the internet

Delete the launcher and redownload it, then try loging to the launcher then. It should work
