Meteorite question

PostMon Sep 10, 2012 6:53 am

Does the meteorite biome disappear if you don't find the landing site soon enough? Or if you log out? Just curious cause one landed in my game tonight but I never found where it hit. The. I had to log out before I found the site =(

Yup. Actually, it only appears off screen. There is actually no meteorite. Just a change in landscape off screen and a text saying it landed

Meteorite changes the terrain of a certain area making it into a meteorite biome until there are less than 50 blocks of meteorite. If you can't find it on the surface it's possible it landed on a floating island. If you have a sky bridge the meteorite will always turn the blocks from the sky bridge into meteorite rather than going through and hitting land.
I hope you found this helpful! :approved:
