Hey guys I haven't really seen any mob mods.

I was wondering how hard is it to mod and add a new npc or mob client

If anything I would want to see more airborn creatures :)
even some creatures that can alter maps pretty much you find them and they can dig there way or they can build around themselves.

Well, are you talking about adding code to the game for new mobs?
Or simply retexturing the, say, snail into a goat?

If it's the former then there very few people here who could do that.

Changing textures is easy.

Changing mobs is hard. You must have a jailbroken device and install >this< tweak. Plus to really know what you're doing you must be running Junk Jack version 1.1 (current version is 1.2.4).

I'm not sure if you can actually add new mobs. I know you can't add items...

Yeah... Just partially ignore him sometimes...

I don't know of anyone who's tried adding mobs. And the same restrictions would apply that I mentioned for changing mobs.

I meant it in a light hearted kinda of way. I had a little go with trying to add stuff through the .jsons, it worked quite well, however nothing actually did anything. A mob would be impossible with just the .json or .dat files - you need access to the actual code to do it.

a client is probably needed to create some sort of mob oh well there goes my dreams of gorillas, dragons, orges, golems etc.. etc.. on to the game

I'm really trying not to get on anyone's bad side here

I know you've might have said it in a light manner, but i just getting negative vibes from you dude and really i'm not trying to be the bad guy on the forum..

I've never modded or have never been deep in scripting and coding i stay away from most pixel sprite styled games because there more difficult to mess with than, if i wanted to open up fallout 3 modder kit and mod that..

maybe in junk jack x they will release some sort of open source engine/ sdk that allows you to simply create mods using sprites codes and what not

Well maybe this character customization on jjx is a closer step to getting a good mob making client or something, kivefreaks what has he done so far?
