Ghost TNT

I was messing with TNT and I discovered if you have two adjacent TNT blocks, if you ignite one TNT, wait until just before it explodes and light the other TNT, the first TNT will explode and destroy the second, but moments later the "destroyed" TNT will explode as if it hadn't been destroyed by the first.

Then that must be sound bug.
The second TNT is already destroyed, as it should be, but the game still plays the second ignition explosion.
The only way to fix it would be to have the game stop the playing of the second explosion once the second TNT is destroyed by the first TNT. So once the second TNT is destroyed, that information is then used to go back and cancel the sound of that explosion.
It actually sounds like it might take a bit of ingenuity for Jacopo to code this. Let's see if he is up to the challenge.

Uh, no, you can try this yourself..
The second explosion still breaks blocks, causes damage to mobs and the player, has a visual effect..
This is not a sound bug. This is a boom bug.

1. Place two adjacent (within eachother's blast radius) blocks of TNT
2. Ignite one TNT
3. Wait a second or so
4. Before the lit TNT explodes, quickly light the other

One TNT should explode, followed by an explosion appearing to come from nowhere.

Secondly, I simply misunderstood your first post.
Thanks for correcting me, though.
Yeah, it sounds like a bug for sure.
Since the second TNT had already been destroyed by the first TNT, then the action of the second one going off should be cancelled.
Again, thanks for reporting this. Tis definitely an interesting bug.

It exploads twice, so, you can get 3 explosions out of 2

Duping/Restoring tnt worlds is MUCH faster than this "exploit" :p

:sisi: If you're going to exploit a bug/loophole then restoring TNT worlds is the best way to get treasures and stuff.
