JJX beginner LF advice

PostSat Sep 07, 2013 1:03 am

Hi all, new to the forums/game and looking for some advice. I like the game so far I am just a little lost.
So far I have a small shelter, wood armor, iron tools, anvil, forge... Just not sure what to do now... I know there are 4 or 5 other worlds and lots of armor and tools... I randomly dig I till I can't any more but I haven't found anything new really. I have monsters turned off for now because I kept getting my butt kicked, does that make a difference? I read the guide before I started and it helped but there's not much after "your first day in jjx" for me to continue on with. Any advice or other guides would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Mine a lot for gold and try to get special armor and portal pieces while doing it.
Portal pieces are usually very deep

No, portal pieces are NOT usually very deep. They're closer to the middle and upper-middle level.

Yeah, I seem to have good luck digging straight down until I hit plate rock (thick stone), then moving over.

It wasn't exactly the same...

3. Who is John Galt?
4. Lack of objection does not indicate consent.
5. We scream, we shout, we wail, we cry; but in the end we all must die.

Oh… What he posted.
I thought you were talking about me.

I posted almost the exact same "dig to plate rock" thing somewhere else.

Just mine, mine, mine, and upgrade your tools. Keep mining and you will find a portal piece for sure!
