Views on the big IOS update?

PostSun Nov 27, 2016 12:14 pm

Hi

I've been playing Junk Jack for years and have lots of worlds and materials. I was excited when I saw the huge number of changes in the 3.0 update but then surprised when I read it meant starting from scratch.

I know Pixbits wouldn't take such a huge step unless it was necessary but looking at photos the game looks the same as before.

So my question is? Those of you who have updated and started again are you glad you did? Also what are the main changes you have noticed?

Thank you

Weird that nobody answered your question. I'm curious about the same thing...

Basically the PC and the iOS version are now compatible with each other (so if you know what you're doing you can swap your worlds from iOS to PC and vice versa). Secondly, your old worlds and characters are actually still in your documents folder, I'm assuming this means Pixbits plan to port over your old worlds, but don't take this for granted.

Wait, so can you do cross platform multiplayer?

No, iOS still uses Gamecenter and there are probably other concerns as well.
1. Junk-Jack-Wiki
2. The world is big, 256 blocks high and 768 across.
3. Who is John Galt?
4. Lack of objection does not indicate consent.
5. We scream, we shout, we wail, we cry; but in the end we all must die.

Maybe somewhere down the path Cross Platform will be a thing. But not right now. But your worlds will work on PC and iOS.
