How to get this retractable block to work?

PostThu Dec 01, 2016 12:50 pm

I have a retractable block as a doorway, by default it's open, but I would like It to be closed unless I stand on a pressure pad.
I need to initially toggle the door, and then have it toggle when I stand on either pad. Any idea how to do the electronics can get both of these things working together?
One issue is that a pressure pad directly next to the retractable block is working without any additional electronics.
I'm working with space constraints, I would like a solution without having to move the pad further away from the block.

I can't get it to work like you want. I can get a door to work with the pressure pads right next to it. Or i can get the retractable block to work with the pressure pads 1 block away. So if you really have your heart set on a retractable block you can either move the pads out or the block up.

Unless someone else thinks of something.

Like twelve Said I i'm not sure it's possible with the pressure pad that close.
This is the only way I can think of.
The shift registers are set to 1 tick and 2 values.

You could also use a nor gate instead of a not gate to make things little smaller. Although, you would have to redo the time on the shifters to about 7 and 1. You would also have to stop on the pressure pad for a tiny bit to keep the block open enough to walk through.

Here's my circuit. It opens when you step on either pad, and closes when you step on either again.
To the left is just the required pad placement relative to the retractable.

Here is another adaption of twelve's toggle set-up. I was able to get the pressure pads flush to the door. The down side, the retractable block won't open until you get off the pressure pad. so I added a bridge to drop down in, then you can walk through. I think all the options that were posted is as close as you're going to get for now desTROYer74.
