"Missing Executable" on Steam on Linux

Trying to install JJ on my PC again, and I'm having an issue. It seems that Steam isn't fully downloading the files. It downloads 52.2 mb out of the 52.7 mb it says it will be downloading (I'm not sure these numbers are even reflecting reality). When you try to launch the game, Steam throws an error saying:

"An error occurred while updating Junk Jack (missing executable)"

I investigated the installation folder and indeed, there are no executable files to be found. Here is what I've tried:

1. Uninstalling and reinstalling JJ.
2. Deleting Steam's download cache
3. Varifying the integrity of the files
4. Moving my Steam installation folder
5. Rebooting my computer and Steam several times
6. Reinstalling Steam
7. Deleting all Steam related files and games from my PC and then reinstalling Steam
8. I'm sure a couple other things I'm forgetting as well.

It's important to note that all my other Steam games work perfectly on my system and I've never had an issue with any other game (Steam and not-Steam). Usually I can troubleshoot issues like these, but I'm out of ideas.

Any input would be much appreciated.

This isn't happening for me, also Junk Jack is 78.0 MB on steam.

It sounds more like a steam error or a internet error. I can't offer any advice other than restart your router as well as your PC.

Yep, no luck. I honestly have no idea what else to try. I've had junk jack installed on this computer over this wifi connection with this router in the past. I'm stumped. Here's my download screen from a few minutes ago:
