Animal Habitats

So I visited the thread of people wanting to tame the Cats on Seth. Others wanted monkeys, and some wanted penguins. I personally want frogs. So I came up with this idea.

Animal Habitats would be 3x2 areas in which each animal would reside. For example:
- Tranquil Pond - Frogs
- Snow Slopes - Penguin
- Treetop Haven - Monkeys
- White Hot Rocks - Lavamander (check thread)
....etc

These habitats would be crafted using a Clean Cut Orb, rarely found in chests underground. In the corners of the Tinker Tools, place four of any essence, and in the remaining spots, place anything dropped from that mob. Animals without unique drops would have to be given some.

This gives a X Habitat Center, X being the Animal. To get the other five parts, use Orb Shards with four of the animals' drop anywhere in the rest of the table. Two Orb Shards are crafted from one Clean Cut Orb.

After placing it down, use another Clean Cut Orb to capture the animal you want. Placing it in the habitat deems it King of the habitat and it changes to a special variant of that mob. Over time, more animals will spawn in the habitat for you to harvest. Killing the king will stop production. You can tap the habitat to see the happiness of the king, and the current population. You need to feed it, like the farm animals.

Once the population reaches certain levels, rare drops will appear in the habitat every now and then. Some unique to that animal.
5 - Dye that is the colour of the animal
10 - Gem that is the colour of the animal.
25 - X Hat (eg. Frog Hat, Penguin Hat, etc.)
60 - Begins to give you effects that would normally be given via encrusting a gem of that colour
150 - Congratulations! Animal Mastery! The reward is a specific gem in the shape of the animal. (eg. Frog Gem, Penguin Gem, etc.)

Having the Gem displayed within 5 blocks of the habitat doubles production. Having the gem on you gives the benefits of the gem of that colour to your weapons.

So, what do you think?

Edit: OK, so if you just want to have the, hang around without the benefits, cool variants and whatnot then you can craft an Inferior Habitat.

These use sticks instead of essence, and do not need a Clean Cut Orb. To transport one there, you still need the Orb though. These will spawn up to 4 of the animal, and do not give benefits or variants and appear a bit more lacklustre than their grander counterparts.

Maybe the items and how rare it is because all we want is just to have them hang around
