Hey Pixbits! Im really excited for the new version of JunkJack. But I have one quick question.

Is the view range in Junk Jack X going to be the same as Junk Jack? (for the ipod touch 5 that is) Because when i have previously played Junk Jack on my ipod touch 5 i have noticed that it is hard for me to see very far, as opposed to the ipad screen (which is absoultely gourgeous). I know that JJX will be optomized for the new iphon 5 display, but will there be an increase in the 5x8 block view that is present in JJ now?

The iPod 5 will still only show 5x10 blocks.
Sorry. Any smaller and it's hard to tap the blocks correctly.

I understand, but i still think they should at least make it 6x10

Well, technically it's 5 and 2/3.
You can tap the blocks on the very edge just barely.
If they were to change sizes, everything would just be doubled.

Well, I assume you may be able to see one more block on either side...

Once upon a time I had posted a comparison pic from iPod 4's to iPod 5's.
Don't where it'd be on the forum though.
Hm, lemme do some quick math, and:
1136 pixel wide screens, right?
Well then it'd be 9 whole blocks wide, with 8 block pixels extra on either edge.
So, 9.538 blocks wide, and still 5.666 blocks high.

Yep. 1136p in length.

Oh, so I did memorize that correctly. Cool.
And let me correct my previous statement ever so slightly:
9.533 wide, not 9.538.
5.666 is correct, however.
Also, 960 pixel screens are 8 blocks wide. But, you see 7 full blocks, and 2 half-blocks on either side.
So, before:
8x5.666
after:
9.533x5.666
Ok. good.

Maaaaybe. :P
Yeah. I can't wait til I take Chemistry :D
Interestingly, I've been able to take concepts from my math courses and use them in designing.

:sisi: I could do the maths if I wanted, but I saw no point to work out how many blocks I would see...

I've calculated almost every conceivable dimension of iDevice screens months ago.
I had planned on making a few wallpapers for all devices and I needed the exact dimensions.
So, some of these numbers are still in my head.
