Hard Hat: Flashlight on top?

I am not alone when I say, "There needs to be a consistent light source around Jack when we mine at night and, especially, when underground".
So I propose a solution.
Giving the Hard-hat a flashlight.
Here's how I see it working.
1-You have to craft a flashlight
•How? Like this…
[ ][ ][ ]
[W][T][G]
[ ][ ][ ]
W=Widget, T=Torch, & G=Glass block
2-Once a Flahlight is created, it is then moved into one of the 5 quick-slots
3-Finally, double-tap the flashlight, putting it onto the Hat
A Flashlight has Health and as you inflict damage, do does it.
The difference being that its health doesn't regenerate. So eventually it'll need to be replaced.
The Flashlight would have the same light range as a Torch.
What do you guys think if the idea??

Great idea, or jack could add the light off/on capabilities to the "miner helm", which is a rare collectible, which would need to be in your inventory to use.

The lights health decrease shouldn't be related to how much damage jack takes.
It should steadily decrease whenever you have it turned on.

Hmmm well he already has a flashlight on his helmet doesn't he?
Any way they could make it like the big zoom feature we have, make it so that it last for, idk, 30 sec to 1min? Then has a cool Down of 5mins, before usage again, of cause you would actually have to build it and then tap on it while it's in a hot-slot, and it goes straight to his helmet and you just tap on jack to flick it on. How's that sound?

That makes it an easy thing to use, but this would replace torches to easily, so we should make it so the meter for the light goes off quickly so you can still use torches, also it shouldnt put as much light as a torch, just a little circle of light around Jack would be nice!

Yes but you would still have to place torches when the light turns off otherwise your going to be mining in the dark

Edit* while we are on the subject of lighting, we should be able to get the option to turn off torches or chanderliers. That way your whole house doesn't have to be lit up in the middle of the night, you could also use it in mining, turn off the torch that is the wrong direction, and you can get out of your mine that much quicker

Good idea.
That would provide the need for the lighter someone suggested. :approved:
