The Emu4ios Display Recorder, (No matter which one you have) both will record in a format that does not allow many programs to read, (It may be a mov file, but try placing a file from it into Windows Live Movie Maker and see what happens, As well as Microsoft Encoder)
The Display Recorder from the Cydia store is superior, as it records in format that can be read by Windows Live Movie Maker, Encoder, Sony Vegas ect.

Or in other words, emu4ios Recorders are YouTubers (And Editors), worst nightmare

Just Convert the File over so it is Readable by the Progam that you are trying to Edit with.

And then loose about 1/2 of the quality in doing so? No thank you. I'm sticking with my 4th gen to record from now on, until I can Jailbreak my 5th again.

Point being? My video quality is as good as I can get it. If you think that by recording with something like 1080p is a great Idea, then your wasting your time. 90% of the people on youtube go for 320p or 480p. And with Display Recoder, your instantly at 720p, then after editing, it's at about 680.

With emu4ios, it's at 720p, after converting, it's at 480p, after editing, it's at about 320p. It is a terrible substitute for the Cydia Store.

Display Recorder on the Cydia store also enables you to start recording whenever you want, with whatever command you want.
Emu4ios can only start recording when your in the app, and crashes if any other app crashes. As well as that, you can only stop recording in the app. Which makes for more editing.
As well, the file sizes are terrible. Playing Minecraft PE, recording for 10mins, gives a 300mb file.

Recording with The Cydia store Display Recorder, 10mins recording gets me at most, a 200mb file, and at min, a 100mb file.

The Emu4ios, but it really isn't that good if you wish to edit the video, OR if you have slow Internet.

My Point being is that you don't loose, Half the Quality, The way I Edit mine is you don't lose any Quality because in the Converter I use you can choose what you want the Video Quality to be after Converting such as, 4k, 1080, 720, 480, 360, 240, And ORIGINAL QUALITY, So that's the Converter done, Editing, Once I've trimmed the Video, Resized so that there no Black Borders, Compressed the Video, Compresed the Audio, And then Render the Video in 720p, I save it and none of the Quality lost, And I know this because I Uploaded the, Original File, Converted File, Edited File to a Private YouTube, And the Edited File looks way better than the, Original and Converted, So no Quality loss, And on a Non Jailbroken Device. :)

Regardless, you obviously haven't watched videos on a PC have you? And No converter will convert into a higher pixel ratio unless you want the video to look crap, nor will it be able to keep the same quality, it will always drop.
