OJJ- Show me the iron?

Playing the original Junk Jack, is it me or is iron just hard to find? I try the method of digging straight down under ruins but that does not seem to make a difference.

Any suggestions?

The best place to find iron i think is in the middle of the world. or if you are to lazy you can use the duplication glitch. but that is kind of cheating.

I probably won't but what is this glitch, besides I must have moved passed iron and gotten to better metals, like glorious mythril!

It's a glitch, that was glorius. Iron is in the top 3rd of the world from what I remember.
