You have a lot of time on your hands.

I see how you're doing this, diagonal-swipin' all the way down, and if you fall you fall on a cloth.

Smart.

Well, the cloth isn't there to start.
I start at the top and dig strait down, making the notches on the sides as I go.
When I get to the bottom I place cloth and start swiping back up.
Then I move over 8 blocks and go again.

Yeah that's probably how you do it. I realised that.

I'm using the method they teach in the Wiki.
