and there I was thinking I was the oldest here at 30.
Oh and you can never be too old to be a gamer
actually the average age of a gamer is said to be 30
I hate when people act like the teenage FPS player is the typical gamer.
I was raised by gamers. My grandmother died around 1990 while playing Gameboy, which she lived on. My grandfather has a wii that he still plays and has had every Nintendo system. I learned to read on SNES Zelda and when I was a toddler, I walked up to Mom in the middle of the night while she was playing NES Zelda and said "No more game, Mommy, no more game." She used to dream about bomb locations so much she couldn't remember which ones were real and I went to her when I couldn't beat a levdel. My aunts and uncles all play--family get-togethers used to involve lots of Dr. Mario matches and the Versus mode of Mario 3 on All Stars. And my dad plays games a generation behind so he can get them cheap, haha.
Anyway! The gamers that got Nintendo later in life when it was all new are my favorites. Gamers that grew up after SNES are strange to me.
