Point is, the whole thing is not legitimate. And Duplication ruined JJ1. Let's not do it to JJx Please.

That would be nearly impossible. Or if they did, you would no longer be able to transfer worlds between devices.
1. Junk-Jack-Wiki
2. The world is big, 256 blocks high and 768 across.
3. Who is John Galt?
4. Lack of objection does not indicate consent.
5. We scream, we shout, we wail, we cry; but in the end we all must die.

Exactly; the same functionality that allows us to transfer between devices, make legitimate backups, and, down the road, allows creative sorts to make adventure maps to share is the same functionality that allows those inclined to duplicate items ad nauseam. You can't remove this straightforward opportunity to duplicate items without losing all those other *good* things.

The problem in multiplayer isn't duplication, the problem is people who don't play well with others, and that's always a lot trickier to code against.
