Best Armor?

Hi! What exactly is the best armor in the game? Since Titanium is way to easy to get, there must be something else thats better.
Also, how do I get that armor?

There are tons of unique armors that may not have as much defense, but have other cool buffs.

Turtle chestplate gives 3 hearts
Wolf cap prevents fall damage
Anubis head gives 2 hearts
Twistrazor armor increases speed and looks badass
Pegasus boots enable flying

There are tons of armors and equippables to be found, those are just a few Ive had. It's all about your style of playing. You could have an armor set that gives you immunity to everything but mobs themselves, or one that makes you move twice as fast. It's all a matter of opinion

How do you get the turtle armor?

turtles drop turtle shell's, of which you need 3 (of one color), and 2 primitive silk yarn

Anyone know what the other variations of colored leather armour do? Not dyed leather but coloured leather thats dropped from mobs. The blue one increases speed but what do the other colors do?

in beta, the green leather wasn't even obtainable

I just tried white leather armor next to normal leather armor and it pretty much just boosts everything more. At least with the chest piece that is.

You get white leather for penguins. You can some times find them in the snow biomes. To make it into armor you just craft it like normal leather armor.
