Ruby Hunting Tips?

I have gotten to Alba in my main world, but so far I have only found 1 ruby shard while diamond I have 2 cut gems of! Is there a special way to find rubies and/or are they only in a specific world?

I go down real deep and then I find a cave, I explore the cave until I find another cave and then another...

Some gems are more common on certain planets. Rubies are more common on Magmar, so if you have access to that you should mine there.
