Stuck in hard mode

So I'm at a point where I can't progress at all. I have a full set of hallowed armor and Excalibur, full hearts and mana, but for whatever reason I can't beat plantera, the twins, skeleton prime or any other hard mode boss except for the destroyer and for whatever reason the last time I fought that one I couldn't beat it either. Anyone have any advice for me? I'm obviously missing something somewhere lol

Lol well yeah but my point is that's really the only hard mode weapon I have well I have the hallowed repeater as well . I can't start creating the really awesome hard mode weapons until I can beat the bosses. Any advice on which of the weapons I have ARE best for boss fighting?

Anything that isn't a sword, bascially. Unless it's got great damage and speed that is…

Demon Scythe?

The magic books and heart statues and star statues, wires, a one second timer, I did it with (maybe) mythril armor. I have defeated all of them, also: A godly breaker blade, crystal shards, and demon scythe. That's exactly how I did it.

BTW TwelveFoot, you need to destroy skeletron prime to get flamethrower; Just saying.

I cheesed everything with Campfire arenas, the Clockwork A.R., and Meteoric/Crystal Bullets… and Lightning Boots. >___>

The first one helped me defeat plantera, the golem, all mechanical bosses, battle the wall of flesh for the 1000th time. That character was the best I had, all thanks to a little book called water bolt.

I dunno all my character names (even in JJX) are just like 'Pedo, Butt Monster, Butt Destroyer, etc'.

Get yourself a magic dagger or a Terra Blade/True Excaliber/True Night's Edge
If you prefer melee build, use their flying projectiles to your advantage. If you prefer magic build, the most effective hardmode weapon one can easily get early is a magic dagger. If you know how to aim properly, magic dagger is the best. Golden Shower is a good alternative.
Im not a fan of ranged weapons so i have no suggestions if your build is ranged.
