In case some of you were not aware, PhotoBucket requires you to pay $400 a year in order to hotlink your images to external websites.
This affects us, given we are.. of course an external website from photobucket (Duh), it means that any images uploaded there cannot be used in forum posts or in avatars any longer.
Now, this may not be an issue for a lot of people, given the variety of different places that you can upload images to now days, but anyone who has uploaded an image to photobucket and shared it in any location, and you want that image to be functional, you should seek a different hosting website. Personally, I'd recommend using either tinypic.com (tinypic IS owned by photobucket tho so keep an eye on that one) or imgur.com.
Any other image hosting websites you encounter are probably going to be just as effective.
It's a real shame because anyone who goes back through the forum and looks over old posts are going to have pictures removed due to this change. $400 A year is not worth it especially when there are so many other free websites that do as good as or a better job.
