I just draw over jack, that way I know it's the right size and his hands are in the right place.

Well, I've got the Scream guy almost done.
Just got to do the frames for on a ladder... his back is just going to be all black.?.

I'm assuming the same thing everyone uses, Paint.net/Gimp/Photoshop?
Although I think twelve uses Gimp.
